The Gunaikurnai people & Victorian Government are currently in the process of preparing a Joint Management Plan (JMP) which will guide the partnership between Traditional Owners and the Victorian Government in the joint management of ten parks and reserves in the Gippsland region.
Part 2h of the plan outlines proposed future management arrangements for the Knob Reserve.
The draft was released for a two-month public consultation period between October and December 2017. All submissions received during the consultation process are now being reviewed and a final iteration of the plan is expected to be presented to the Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change for approval in the first half of 2018.
